fog over the new river

i am (obviously) not a landscape photographer. but this photo embodies what i love about this 31 day portrait challenge. i drive over this same bridge all the time. and all the time i look to my right and think about how much i want to capture a shot of the river, but i never have my camera on me and i am just too lazy to drive home and get it and drive back...but today i had my camera on me. and now that it is day 10 of our challenge i am seeing things a little differently...i'm being less lazy about creating and composing. and today there was this beautiful fog rolling over the river...

Dear Jesse,

I need to apologize, while I thought of three different ways to genuinely commend you yet insult you at the same time; I couldn't bring myself to do it. The picture is too good and I wouldn't want to cheapen it.

XOXO

very cool man. I've often done the same as you and thought about how I wanted one of this same spot with a train coming over the trestle, but I've always been too lazy to get out there and wait for one to come along.... you have inspired me to get off of my lazy arse and do something about it.

a couple of things here not completely related to the image that need to be expounded before I comment on the photo.

1. Jesse, you ended the paragraph with an ellipse. You forgot to finish your thought. It was as if you came into the room and said, " hey guys want to see something cool." then just left the room. Technically you leaving the room could be translated as such reference of what you would define as cool. But we wouldn't . Therefore and hencewith...

2. Pradeepa, you said you are completely speechless... but you can't be speechless and say you are speechless.

3. Pradeepa, anytime you say you are speechless you must, as Michael Scott would, then follow that up with, " I am without speech"

4. Jake, recently a string of events have occurred that has given you the opportunity to be funny. You have taken these opportunities and have run with them. Because of that you are now in the top 3 funniest people I know list. This is a lot like the time on the trampoline where you blocked every punch i threw and consequently won the entire game right there. I am expecting the same. For you to just unleash on us a barrage of funny-isms that cause our heads to explode or vomit from laughter.

and finally

Jesse, great shot. And I mean that.

Sam, I'm glad I'm in your top 3, especially since #1,2,4, and 5 on your list are all probably you.

Dear Sam,

At first glance it would seem that you ninja'd everyone with your humor and I was bummed.

Then I realized that you probably created a user profile for Jill and put way too much effort into a ninja than would ever be necessary (the very nature of a ninjaing situation is effortless at best), so I celebrated victory.

Then I realized that it took me 10 minutes to figure out that you created the profile and that you had in fact won yet another battle of wits without even realizing it, or did you?

xoxo

PS I can be speechless and still type.
