About the photo: you are right about the light on Jake. Perhaps a bigger dept of field so that Catan and robber would be in focus would be nice. Also the chair on the left probably should not be there because of the refection that it provides of your flash. I like the background and the feel that it gives to your subject.
hm. you know... the technical stuff is important, but that is still a good shot jesse. That is Jake right there. I like it.
Sometimes the art is lost inside trying to become too good at taking pictures. Sometimes it's just a good picture man and this one, is a good picture.
